Start off with a safety briefing and talk on the different type of skids you might encounter before you move to to using techniques that simulate the loss of car control so you learn what it feels like when the vehicle seems to get away from you. Skidpan driving focuses on avoidance and recovery, so you’ll learn about driving on ice, aquaplaining and skid avoidance under the tutelage of friendly, relaxed instructors who are guaranteed to keep their heads. Courses are held on either an oil-like surface or using a computerised skid frame and you may even get to test your new skills with time trials.
